Version 2026.1 - GECWC
By accessing the Smart Attendance Ecosystem, you acknowledge that you are a currently enrolled student of Government Engineering College, West Champaran. This platform is a proprietary academic tool. Unauthorized access by third parties or alumni is strictly prohibited and monitored via hardware-id logging.
The system utilizes Haversine Telemetry to verify physical presence within the designated classroom radius (15m). Users agree to maintain High-Accuracy location settings. Any attempt to obfuscate, spoof, or relay GPS coordinates through VPNs, Proxy Servers, or Developer "Mock Location" tools will be automatically flagged as "Academic Malpractice" and reported to the Head of Department.
To prevent proxy attendance, your account is cryptographically bound to your mobile hardware signature. Logging in on multiple devices or sharing your unique Dynamic PIN with peers constitutes a breach of the digital code of conduct. One account per physical device is the strictly enforced standard.
The system utilizes Collision Detection and Entry Highlighting to manage redundant check-in attempts. While the interface may permit secondary submissions, the underlying architecture intelligently identifies these as duplicates and flags them within the cloud ledger. This ensures that only the initial, cryptographically-verified timestamp remains the primary record, while subsequent attempts are highlighted for audit purposes to maintain the chronological integrity of the institutional database."
The following matrix outlines the standard operating procedures for the GECWC Smart Attendance Portal features. Compliance with these steps is required for successful ledger entry.
| Feature | User Action | System Result |
|---|---|---|
| Identity Input | Enter Roll No. & Exit Field | Secure PII Autofill |
| Geo-Validation | Enable GPS; Refresh if Idle | Unlocks 'Submit' Gateway |
| Verification | Biometric Scan / Passkey | Cryptographic Signing |
| Redundancy | Check 'Recent Logs' | Entry Collision Highlighting |
Institutional Data Standard
This application is designed with "Privacy by Design" principles. We collect only what is necessary for academic verification.
We process your real-time Latitude and Longitude during the check-in attempt. This data is converted into a distance vector relative to the classroom coordinates. Precise coordinate history is never recorded; only the "In-Range" or "Out-of-Range" status is stored in the permanent database.
We utilize the FIDO2 WebAuthn protocol. Your biometric data (fingerprint or face-id) is stored exclusively in your phone's Trusted Execution Environment (TEE). The GECWC servers only receive a public key signature to verify your identity. No biometric imagery is transmitted or stored on our servers.
Your Roll Number, Name, and Registration details are visible only to authorized faculty members and the examination department. This data is hosted on Google Cloud Infrastructure with Restricted IAM access, ensuring protection against unauthorized data leaks.
The Autofill engine utilizes a Hardware-Validated Lookup Protocol. By binding student PII to a unique hardware fingerprint at the point of ingestion, the system ensures that sensitive data is only served to verified devices. This architecture effectively mitigates Insecure Direct Object Reference (IDOR) vulnerabilities common in web-based registration systems.
The ecosystem employs a multi-layered cryptographic stack to ensure the Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA) of institutional data. By utilizing asymmetric key pairs and one-way hashing algorithms, the system creates a tamper-proof environment for attendance logging.
